Mark Rose has spent his entire 26-year teaching and administrative career in Parkland School School Division at both Memorial Composite High School in Stony Plain as well as the last seven years at Spruce Grove Composite High School. Mark has served as an assistant principal for the last 13 years. After completing his Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Alberta, he taught Physical Education and Social Studies at Memorial. He would later fill the role as the Extracurricular Coordinator at the school for 10 years supporting athletics through the Edmonton Public League and the Alberta Schools' Athletics Association. His portfolio included being the school administrator responsible for supporting First Nations, Métis, & Inuit students and families. Mark is currently working on a Master of Aboriginal Studies from the University of Alberta. At the end of the 2022-2023 school year, he was honoured by Elders in PSD South with an Eagle Feather which was presented to him at the Indigenous Cultural Graduation.
